What is Mystraypet?
Mystraypet is a lost pet directory and social network in one website. You can create an account and then connect with neighbors, animal shelters, rescue groups on Mystraypet to help you.
Is Mystraypet free?
Yes. The website use is free, but some features are not. We charge for advertising and manual posts on other sites.
How do I search for a lost pet?
There are two options to search. The first option requires you to log in and search using the top search bar, lost pet map, or Friends menu. The other option is open to the public in the footer menu “search.”
How does Mystraypet help me find my lost pet?
Ideally you either use Mystraypet AFTER you went out searching, or by creating a profile for a safe pet to prepare for the day your pet gets loose. Mystraypet is a great platform to create a “webpage” for your pet via the profile, and have people contact you via messaging ensuring your privacy.
Mystraypet is not a replacement for physically searching.
How is my privacy secure?
During registration and at any time when you log in click on the “lock” icon to set the privacy level. Some information like your street address are permanent hidden from the public. Only administrators and yourself can see the information.
The pet map (a Google map populated with your lost pet’s icon) randomly shifts the location away from your address. Someone viewing the map only has idea of where your pet was lost within 1 mile of the address.
Why can’t I log in?
Sometimes the server wants to make my day difficult with a random bug that doesn’t allow members to log in. Clear your cache, refresh your browser, and try again. If that doesn’t work contact us.
